CN Construction, Inc

C & N Construction was established in 1978 by my father, Chuck Niewind. He has been a general contractor serving Grand Rapids, Itasca County and surrounding areas for over 32 years. Our family company specializes in new home construction, remodeling, additions, garages, decks, wood foundations, design services and light commercial construction. At the young age of 12, I accompanied my father on job sites and observed his techniques of building. After high school I went on to complete my degree in Architectural Drafting & Design Technology at Northwest Technical Institute. Immediately following college I went to work for Wausau Homes in Wausau, Wisconsin. It wasn?t long before I returned to the Grand Rapids area to join my father?s construction company.
In 1999, I became a licensed residential contractor. After 15 years of working full time for C & N Construction, I made the decision to purchase the business from my father. Chuck is still involved as a consultant and project manager. I am now incorporated and doing business as CN Construction Inc. I am continuing his tradition of establishing relationships with customers and gaining their trust through our high standards of quality, performance and customer service.

The company itself has been an active member of the NMBA ( Northern Minnesota Builders Association ) since 1998, the Builders Association of Minnesota and the National Association of Home Builders.
